High Definition (HD) production equipment rental

We rent our HD camera equipment, grip, lighting and edit systems for short term (one day), weekend hire, weekly or longer term rental periods for features. We organise courier shipping to/from our base in North Devon or you can collect and do some hands-on tuition.

We aim to be very helpful in kit selection - we use all the kit ourselves so we can give you some advice or training if required - just get in touch and see if we have what you need.

You will need several forms of ID and your own insurance and we take deposit payments by credit card (RBS Worldpay). All private client (ie non-company) hire must be paid in advance or on collection. Please see our standard rental agreement (PDF) for full terms.

We can ship to anywhere in the UK via courier for next day delivery (some areas including the Northern Highlands may take two days) and if booked before 3pm we can get your equipment to the courier on the same day to arrive the next morning.

May 2013 - New music video for ChetMega filmed using Maniac gear The new video 'Lambs to the slaughter' from ChetMega will be released soon online. The video was shot on a number of locations using equipment supplied by Maniac Films including the Losmandy Porta Jib & Gekko lens lite. We are looking forward to seeing the finished film!

April 2013 - Canon release 5D mkIII firmware for uncompressed HDMI output Thanks to a new update from Canon, we now have hte ability to record uncompressed high quality video from the HDMI port of the Canon EOS 5D mkIII. By combining this camera with our Atomos Samurai recorder and optional HDMI-SDI converter you can significantly increase the quality of your recorded images!

April 2013 - Sony release WiFi control software for PMW-200 Sony have just released an major update for the Sony PMW-200 50mbps video camera. You can now control major camera functions such as zoom, focus, iris, record, gain and more from an iPhone, iPad or smartphone! Combine this with a video sender and you have an ideal remote focus solution!

January 2013 - Sony PMW-200 50mbps camcorder New in is a Sony PMW-200 50mbps video camera. This camera records to SXS memory cards at a BBC approved data rate. This camera combines the optics and features of the Z7 and EX3 with 50mbps recording! what more could you need?

December 2012 - Redrock remote follow focus system arriving soon! The new redrock remote follow focus has finally been released. This unit will allow you to pull focus using a wireless wi-fi transmitter - ideal for shooting in tight spaces or when using a camera crane. There is also a future upgrade planned in which you can control focus using an iphone.

November 2012 - GoPro 3 black edition coming soon The new GoPro 3 Black edition is a 4k, wifi enabled upgrade to the popular GoPro camera series. The camera should be with us in the 1st week of December and we can't wait so see what it can do! As well as up to 4K recording, the camera can also transmit live video via WiFi to your iPhone.

April 2012 - GoPro HD LCD backpack rental helps Sam capture long days on the piste At the end of March, Sam contacted us with regards to hiring the LCD backpack accessory for his GoPro HD Hero camera.  Five weeks later and Sam has sent us this stunning image taken from the camera - this really shows what the GoPro can do! Sam was very impressed with the LCD backpack. It is invaluable when it comes to replaying footage and ensuring that you are getting the shot that you need - a problem with the original GoPro where you had to guess and hope the shoot was good.
