IMMUNE VFX Shots for Coventry Based Virus/Zombie Film

Mark has been working the the creators of Immune a new virus/zombie film set for release in 2016. The film has been shot in and around Coventry on a fairly low budget. Mark has been helping with some of the special effects. One shot called for a girl to visibly transform from normal, to infected, which the crew couldn't do on set. So Mark was given a picture of the finished make-up and had to track her facial features, and slowly blend in the effect as she moved within the frame The clips have now been delivered back to the ediors for insertion into the final film

Young Fisherman Boat Stories Film Shown at Blue New Deal Launch

The 22nd September saw the launch of the Blue New Deal initiative at the Southbank Centre in London. The initiative aims to create stronger economies for UK coastal communities through healthier seas. As part of the event, we were asked to provide a copy of our recent Boat Stories film 'A Life in the Day of a Young Fisherman', which was shown as part of the panel discussions, with an aim to promote a debate on the future of the fishing industry. The star of the film, Ben Bengey, also attended the event as part of the discussion panel. Or liason at the event, Fernanda, contacted us after the event saying "Thank you again for supporting the event last week by letting us show the film about Ben Bengey. It was a really successful event and people really enjoyed the film".

Boat Stories Premiere Screening Event

On Friday 4th September, the Maniac team attended a premiere screening of all 10 films in the Boat Stories series. The event was held at the Landmark Theatre in Infracombe and was attended by the filmmakers and stars of the films. The event featured two film premieres, one of which was our recent film 'A Life in the Day of a Young Fisherman, ', which was filmed & edited in August and finished just 3 days befdore the event. The event was a success and another is scheduled for 16th October in Bideford, see the Boat Stories website details.

CD Replication for Small Town Jones new album Sky Down

We have just taken delivery of 1000 copies of the new album 'Sky Down' by Small Town Jones (aka Jim Jones) which have been replicated in time for the album launch date. Sky Down is due for release on 6th November 2015, but we have replicated the album with plenty of time to spare to allow Jim to concentrate on promotion and marketing. The artwork was prepared by Jim and passed to us for checking/layout tweaks before it went to the Printers. The final album has been released in a card digisleeve with a 4 page booklet inside along with the CD.
