Lastman Heroes BDCMF for Les Arcs

We have established a good working relationship with Leo from Les Arcs Film Festival  and have once again partnered to encode an animated series for Blu-ray replication.

This time we have converted the 2022 French animation 'Lastman Heroes season 2'  into the BDCMF format.

Season 1 was released back in 2016, using crowdfunding to help to pay for the production. It told the story of Richard Aldana, a deadbeat amateur boxer with little better to do with his time besides the occasional job here and there. He gets by with the help of his mentor Dave and others, but without any particular direction of his own. This all changes when his life is inverted and sent down the rabbit hole by events related to people and things he didn't know existed.

BCDMF is an industry format used for the mass replication of Blu-ray discs. The standard BDMF format which is created by authoring software cannot be used in the replication process and needs to be converted to BDCMF first.

Lastman Heroes (Season 2) finds that Richard Aldana has hit rock bottom. The nine years since Season 1 have left him amongst the ruins of a disastrous marriage to Tomie Katana, a failed boxing career and mountains of debt.
He spends his time, cigarette and whiskey in hand, brooding over Howard's betrayal and the loss of his friends, Cheeky, Dave, Siri.
When he witnesses the terrible accident of his former ring mate Duke Diamonds, he agrees to get back in the ring to pay for his operation...

We were contacted by Leo, a video editor at Les Arcs to help with the conversion. We have worked with him a few times on other projects.

We were send a digital copy of the BDMV Blu-ray master, which Mark ran through our dedicated BDCMF encoding software before returning to Leo, again via the web.

If you need to create a Blu-ray replication master or need a DCP for a festival screening, DVD authoring or captions created for your film then please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.
