DVD authoring for Irish Film Institute GAA Gold Hurling FilmManiac Films have provided DVD authoring services for an archive film produced by the Irish Film Institute (IFI).
The DVD featured archive footage, showing highlights from the All Ireland Hurling Finals 1948-1959 'GAA Gold'
The films and artwork were supplied by the Irish Film Institute. We carried out some audio clean-up and a few video tweaks to resolve issues caused by the original film transfer process.
The film should be available from the Irish Film Institute website later this year. Watch the clip from the GAA Gold DVD above on the IFI YouTube channel. Update October:
GAA Gold, which featured archive footage of the All Ireland Hurling Finals 1948-1959, was the 2nd biggest selling sports DVD in Ireland in 2010. This is made more impressive when you consider that the film was only completed and released for sale in October!
