This is a 15cm Rycote softie windshield - ideal for the Rode NTG2 &  NTG3

This softie fits a microphone with a diamter of 19-22mm and an interlan length of 150mm.

The Softie Windshield is a slip-on open-cell foam, with integral fur cover. The Softie will reduce wind-noise, protect your mic and is the standard world wide in TV.

Both the acoustic foam and synthetic fur are made from materials which are specially designed and manufactured for the purpose, and as a result up to 25 dB of wind-noise reduction without any adverse effect on High-Frequency. In addition the foam is not susceptible to UV or moisture damage, giving this product great longevity. 

Advanced materials, adhesives and assembly techniques all combine to make the Softie an extremely tough product that provides excellent wind protection in the harshest of environments.

For any windshield to work effectively it must cover all the ports on the microphone. Therefore this 15 cm slip-on windshield would be suitable for shotgun microphones, with slots no further than 15 cm from the front of the mic.

We recommend this for use with the short extension on our Rode NTG-2 & NTG-3 microphones
