The Blackmagic Teranex Express is the world’s first real time SD, HD and Ultra HD broadcast standards converter. It features advanced patented algorithms just like the original Teranex 2D but it can now do converison to 12-SDI UHD/4K video. The Teranex Express gives you the visually transparent, high-quality conversions that are mandated by major broadcasters and studios worldwide.
You get an incredible 1089 SD, HD and Ultra HD up, down and standards conversions in full 10-bit quality! You also get amazing processing with high quality de-interlacing, noise reduction, automatic cadence detection, removal and correction even with edited content, adjustable scaling and aspect ratio conversion, all with full timecode and multi-channel audio conversion. See the original Blackmagic Teranex 2D which still does an amazing job for SD and HD format video conversion. Both Teranex versions are 1U rack size and quite shallow. We tend to run them in shallow racks to more easily reach the BNCs on the back.
Teranex also supports Quad SDI out for video walls that need UHD 4K to quad 1080 HD using big screen HD panels or LED displays. Teranex features sub-pixel processing and multi-directional diagonal filters to remove jagged edges for clean looking video. There are built in test Paterns too for all video formats like SMPTE colour bars, grids and resolution charts making it a great testing tool for setting up your big screen.
There is optional Fibre interface which we do not corrently have on our unit.
