This high quality Tiffen IR cut 'Hot Mirror' glass 4x4 filter is designed to reflect most infrared light, ensuring a better image from your camera. Originally designed for use on the RED One cinema camera which seemed to get effected more by Infra Red light. Other cameras can suffer from the effects of too much IR light and using thsi filter in a matte box will reduce the effetc by reducing Infra Red light from hitting the lens and camera sensor.
