New film for Axar Media MIMO media products

We have been working with ProVision Communications to create a promotional video for the new Axar 1000 system from AXAR Media.

The film was created for the launch of the AXAR 1000 system at CES 2009 for high quality HD wireless video distribution across the home. This is a standards based solution using H264 AVC codecs and 802.11n wireless MIMO to allow compatibility with emerging 802.11n routers, laptops and PCs.

The interviews were filmed in Bristol at the University of Bristol. Graphic assets were supplied to us by ProVision and we animated them, adding it visual effects. The voiceover was recorded externally by a professional voiceover artist and added to the edit.

We finished this promotional video just in time for the CES exhibition in Las Vegas and delivered it in High Definition on Blu-ray disc for playout on big HD TVs. We also delivered standard definition DVDs, web sized and laptop sized QuickTime formats for the exhibition.

The AXAR 100 is from AXAR Media - a division of ProVision Communications - the wireless video company. This presentation video introduces the AXAR 1000 series hardware and gives an insight into the technical challenges posed by distributing high quality video across all rooms - using patented error concealment, customised antenna designs and standards based techniques from ProVision founders Professors David Bull and Andrew Nix.
