Blu-Ray BDCMF authoring for Royal International Air Tattoo 2019

It's that time of year again when we work with Iain from PlanesTV.com to provide BDCMF conversion services for the Blu-Ray release of this years Royal International Air Tattoo.

Every year, PlanesTV produce a DVD and Blu-ray release of the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) event which are available to buy online through the Air Tattoo website, PlanesTV.com and other channels.
Both the DVD and Blu-ray formats are available as a single disk 'standard edition' or a 'collectors edition' 2-disk set.

Due to the large print run, Iain needed to get the disks replicated. However, although fairly simple to create DDP files for DVD replication in most authoring programmes, Blu-ray files must be converted to the BDCMF format, which requires specialist software.

Iain delivered the finished Blu-ray disks as BDMV folders to us on a hard drive, which we were able to run through our conversion software and create the required BDCMF files. Iain took his dog for a walk on nearby Croyde Beach and when he returned the conversions were finished and Iain took the files away the same day. (I'm not sure who was happier, Iain for the fast turnaround or his dog for the great walk he'd been on!)

The DVD and Blu-ray in both standard & collectors editions are now available to purchase on Airtattoo.com or PlanesTV.com
