Product Description

Using a boom pole and fed up with trailing cables? The Sennheiser SKP 100 boom kit with a shotgun mic may just be what you need! This kit operates in the UK Channel 38  licensed band from 606.500 - 613.500 MHz. We will supply you with an Ofcom operating license for the duration of your hire.

This kit includes a shotgun microphone chosen from the options above. If you don't need a microphone, see our basic radio boom kit

The SKP 100 G3 transmitter is designed to be attached to a battery powered shotgun microphone, converting that microphone into a radio mic.
The unit features an unpowered XLR port.
Because this unit does not supply power to the microphone, you will require either a dynamic mic (such as the SM58 which needs no power) or a battery powered microphone such as the Rode NTG2, Sennheiser ME66 kit mic or the Azden SGM2 microphone which has interchangable  heads to create either a short or long shotgun mic.

Combined with the EW100 receiver which has an XLR output (or optional mini jack output) this allows you to record boom audio wihtout the need for training cables.

Both units require 2x AA batteries for operation.

Kit includes:

  • 1 Radio transmitter: XLR (unpowered) input.
  • 1x EW100 receiver with XLR output
  • 1x shotgun microphone (selec above - details below)

Microphone options:

  • Rode NTG2: A 10" supercardioid shotgun microphone wih a frequency response of 20 Hz 20 kHz which can be powered by Phantom power or a single AA battery (required for use with the wireless kit).
  • Azden SGM2X: A useful shotgun mic with a removable front tube, allowing the mic to be used as either an 8" omnidirectional mic or a 16" super cardioid. It has a frequency range of 40Hz - 20 kHz. It can only be powered using a single AAA battery.
  • Sennheiser ME66: The ever popular ME66 features an on/off switch and a fewquency range of 40Hz - 20 kHz. It is powered by either phantom power or a single AA battery (required for use with the wireless kit).
