HD Post Production
Here at Maniac Films we offer a professional and high quality Post Production route. In our edit suites we run Final Cut Studio 7 on new Intel Macs along with Adobe Production suite CS5.5 with After Effects.
Final Cut is used by major post production houses throughout the world and is seen as one of the best edit suites available. FCP Studio also features industry standard Colour correction and motion graphics software to create a powerful package.
We use a range of plug-ins from Gen Arts, FX Factory,Nattress, Twixtor, GCM FX, Mattenee, Automatic Duck, Tiffen DFX, BCC, Boris, Eureka, Neat video and other motion graphics programs like Syntheyes, Carrara and Apple Shake to achieve the look that we need from a film. We can film, capture and edit in Full HD and work with virtually any video format and export in a wide variety of formats including HDCAM.
Our post production services can cover any genre of video or film making. We have provided services for sports/special interest films, documentary films, corporate and promotional films plus indie feature films for Digital Cinema Projection (DCP) and straight-to-DVD productions.

Format Conversion and Transfers
Often a complicated area of video and film, format conversion can throw up a lot of issues. We can already convert most formats, and if we don't already know how then we will endeavour to find out how. The most common video format conversion is from NTSC (American format) to PAL (UK and Europe) and vice versa.
If you have any piece of video or audio that you need to be converted into a more useable format, please get in touch and we can advise you on the best methods to get exactly what you need. We can also rip (copy and convert to an editable format) and re-encode video that has previously been written to DVD disc (Copyright permitting of course). We can supply the processed video in high quality and in any format.

Live Event Mixing and Crew
Live event mixing requires teamwork, communication and skill...and someone on the desk to control the troops. We can provide a small production crew and can source more from our pool of local talent if necessary to cover larger events.. We have worked on a number of live events including the week long CreationFest Music Festival in Cornwall and many years at the Goldcoast Oceanfest just down the road in Croyde. We've filming corporate fundays at Castle Hill for Actavis and filmed the World Rally Championship practice sessions in Wales and Cyprus.
Conference filming can be a large or small affair with similar skills needed for live mixing or just recording the day for use in promotional video clips. Why not make the most of your conference filming by lining up interviews with participants to get some good feedback or soundbites to use on the promo. We recently filmed a conference for The Springboard Consultancy and produced lots of short marketing videos for thier web channel along with a new promo for the next event.

Motion Graphics Design

Recent work has included a DVD menu featuring a 3D animated book with pages that turned to display more menu options plus designs for a new company video Ident.
