While the finals of the BSA European Interclubs surf contest was held at Woolacombe at the end of April 2004, the MANIAC surf team were taking advantage of the almost empty waves at Croyde Bay. The surf was definitely the best seen on the coast for a while, although the surfing was not the best seen on the coast !
The MANIAC surf team currently comprises Ken Wells (Braunton), Robin Gilbert (Genesis Surf shop Ilfracombe) and Chris Barret (part-timer from Western-super-mer).
