Welcome to MANIAC films (2004 index)

We are a UK based independant media production company that specialises in promotional films and sports events.
We operate an 'all-digital' policy to ensure the quality and flexibility of our products.

We produce DVDs ,web media (Quicktime MPEG4 , Real Media ), kiosk media and 2.5/3G mobile phone media from digital content which we usually film ourselves (DVCAM & miniDV). We can directly convert or arrange format conversion from Hi8, VHS, SVHS, Beta and film sources.

We tend to focus on Sports filming - Surfing, Wind surfing, skateboarding etc and use helmet cams, underwater cams, radio controlled car cams. But we also produce Promotional films for businesses and cover live music and events.

We have digital sound mixing facilities and can create custom music soundtracks for your media or use sources from our production music library or from unsigned bands who want the exposure.

We are also licensed to create Dolby Digital ™ Audio tracks and use Dolby ™ trailers and logos for our DVD productions.

	November 2004 - 'Enclave' DVD Authoring DVD Authoring for short film 'Enclave' by Russell Frampton and Ruth Way. A surreal dance fantasy from these two South West filmakers. We created a simple DVD version and re mastered the audio to Dolby Digital.

MANIAC films finishes the e-commerce web store for Genesis Surf Shop, Ilfracombe..including product photography,web site design and hosting, store management in one package. October 2004 - Scotland Surf Chronicles

Surf filming trip on the ten year anniversary as three old friends battle the elements in the cold and wild North West coast of Scotland. . MANIAC films prepares to edit a backlog of dusty footage from ten years worth of trips to the far North and beyond. More Photos and video clips coming soon.

	August 2004 - Billy Budds endless screening Billy Budds is now screening an endless loop show reel - from local surfing in Croyde and Woolacombe, to Kite surfing and Windsurfing in Fiji. The 1 hour DVD loop includes - Cyprus Rally short, e-commerce web site build, Universe Inspectors, C-14, Lost Girls clips, Creation Fest sk8, Atlantic Village SK8, Sunshine Revisited, Devon Dreams redone, Climbing Baggy and more. This will be an ongoing loop, updated when time permits. Jon Foster from Billy Budds said "Its great to see some local faces up on the screen"
	August 2004 - Creation Fest filming MANIAC films covers the Creation fest 2004 event at Woolacombe and the pre-festival Outreach events at Atlantic Village Bideford and Ilfracombe. July 2004 - Bristol Bikefest video editing

MANIAC films provides Hi8 video conversion and editing to Quicktime MPEG4 web movies for Yucca Media from the recent Bristol Bikefest 2004 event.

June 2004 - Goldcoast Oceanfest filming

MANIAC films provides filming support for USP and Yucca Media at the Intel Goldcoast Oceanfest 2004. MANIAC films supported the local event by filming interviews and sports events during the Oceanfest weekend to provide media for the 'big screen' in between the live bands. A copy of the DVD 'Devon Dreams' and parts of 'the long way round' were played to help fill any spare gaps too.

June 2004 - Satellite Broadband Solution design and demo

MANIAC films helps UTIL4 ltd and Inmarsat with a rugged Satellite Internet platform for the World Rally in Cyprus 2004. Mark Brindle in association with UTIL4 helped build a rugged version of a wireless hot spot using Cisco technology and Intel Centrino wireless technology to link up VIP guests with live Race data whilst on remote stages of the WRC event.

May 2004 - Surfing Footage License for 'Big Brother' Oz

MANIAC films supplies Endemol Southern Star with a film license to use surfing footage of Paul Dyer from the DVD 'Sunshine Surfers' for the bio of Paul for Big Brother. Paul still seems to be the most popular housemate in the Big Brother Australia house. See whats going on in the house and Vote for Paul at bigbrother.ten.com.au

May 2004 - Creation fest 2003/4 promo now available

April 2004 - Latest BSA Interclubs photos online

New gallery image uploads have been completed in the surfing gallery to include the Woolacombe Interclubs BSA contest and the Al Ranakin Memorial.
